mostra de cinema

today we went to see two movies of the "mostra de cinema" and it was nice to have such a cosmopolitan program. brunch at santo grão, a local hip café. horrible stuff like salmon on rösti with a slap of whip-cream (where you would really expect some horseradish) and pancakes. I feel stuffed ever since. Then with the motobike to see a movie at 13h and at 16h. Some spanish/argentine movie "buenos aires negro" and "looking for eric" . Both very good. Last week we did a ayurvedic diet. For five day you drink two powders soluble in honey and water "triphala" and "trikatu". They smell and taste ab...so...lutely repugnant and on top of it you only eat rise and lentils and drink some vegetable stew, without the vegetables...only the water. I ate very little, because I remembered a German Diet I did some years ago and after three days I was really nervous. I did my normal program, Yoga in the morning, working, in the evening playing trumpet, no problem. However after three days you feel absolutely, absurdly GREAT. After five day you don't really want to come back to eating normally and when I drank the first coffee and ate my bun in my coffeshop I did not know wheather I was doing good or bad to my body. In January I will redo the diet. that's what wickipedia says.....: Triphala is used to promote appetite and digestion, increase the number of red blood cells, and aid in removal of undesirable fat in the body. When dissolved in the mouth, Triphala is used to clear congestion and headaches. Other claimed benefits include helping maintain normal blood sugar levels, as well as improvement in skin tone and colour.
