tuesday night, we just came home from the cinemas. matchpoint, the last woody allen movie, placed in london. young, handsome irish extenispro marries into rich uppercrust english family, falls in love with his brother in laws fiancée and kill her to keep the lie up and not lose his newly won status. afterwards a thai soup in restaurant mesticio and a 30 min walk home. It IS cold here...some 15C degrees and life is just flowing like a lazy river.

hey again sunday morning in São Paulo. Valeria is giving water to the garden because the winter wheather has brought some dry and cold days. Reading the veja makes one want to leave this wonderful country. After the Bolivian Presindent invaded Petrobras' factories the four populist leader meet in Uruguay and Lula has nothing better to do than to CONGRATULATE Evo Morales. A clear kick in the groins of the Brazilian People, who, through Petrobras have invested in the region. This is a much bigger step, because it shows that Lula is really NOT at all a democratic leader but more and advocat of his own PT, a socialist group of politicians that still want a socialist revolution in the whole region. Jetzt noch 3 Stunden Auto, Supermercado einkaufen und alles...das ist zu viel. Schliesslich sind es ja auch noch 32 Km dreckstrassen bis zu Breno's Sitio. Die Zeit habe ich aber genutzt und unsere wedding fotopage gemacht. ist noch ein prototyp, keine Reihenfolge und so...einfach ein paar Fotos, damit auch Cesco an Ostern mal surfen tut. ok....now this is why I am in Brazil... click on the musicians (how do you spell that?? anyway) ...and see what Brazil has to offer... Gisele Bündchen the allmighty Supertopmodel from the south of Brazil is now being called "übermodel" by local newspapers. Now that's something in a country who does not know the ¨ (two dots above any letter) as a letter. Lula is giving nice speeches and we all hope that the US will not incinerate the arab and other world in their quest for oil.

we did a little movie over x-mas which we cut on my mac. just for fun. it was slightly influenced by "the godfather" which we all happend to have seen. these holidays i descovered what a pleasure it can be to watch DVD on a computer. Never really understood the technology...but now I looove it.

just typed the last changes and offered some link for visitors on my page. this christmas I will spend with the family of Valeria on a sitio near the city. On 26 we will go to the mountains in Minas where Breno has a wonderful place with horses (mares) and hiking and stuff. merry xmas and happy new 'ear (how the brazilians say). I just planted a Pau Brasil in my garden and it is growing nicely.

O.K. am back. Here in São Paulo its X-mas time as everywhere else in the world. This was a nice year and lots of good things have happened to me. I got to know Valeria, I bought a house and I play the best trumpet I have ever...which is not too much but better than nothing. I a founding a company and I am remodeling a house which I bought on Pacaembu in São Paulo. If you would like to see some pictures about my year of 2002 click here . Ok I mean... I hope I did not leave anybody out. Well well well. I had a horrible day. Our second attempt to get a CNPJ for our company failed and we could not get embatek founded yet in São Paulo. What took a month in Switzerland is taking 3 month here and is still not done. The custo brasil is reaching unbearable levels and I really don't know anymore, if it it worth investing a dime in a bureaucratically rotten place like this. Some scribesman seems to be able to block your papers indefinitely and if you rent a place for 2'000U$ per month nobody is able to tell you beforehand if it will be possible to use it as the main office of your company. I come to the conclusion that I am either stupid, or brasil is a very difficult place to do business, or we work with the wrong people. Probably all of it together.
